BIO:
Howdy, all! My name is Ivey, and I am a beautiful hound doggie who would love to love you. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Texas and promised a second chance at a great life with Fetching Tails in Chicagoland. I was diagnosed with heartworm, but FTF promised to get me the treatment I needed and now I am on the road to recovery and a long, healthy life. Goodness, am I happy to have made the long trip! I love living in a home with people to provide all the cuddles, toys, and attention I adore. My foster momma says I am a generally calm girl who enjoys time outside in the yard (my dream forever home would include a fenced yard), long walkies, and taking a chew toy to my bed or the couch so I can curl up and play with it. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and even human kiddos so I would fit into any family with ease. I also don't mean to brag too much, but I am a good roommate with nice manners: I am potty trained (I love being outside and wait by the door when it is my turn to go out for a potty break!), crate trained, and am food motivated to learn even more. I think training classes would be lots of fun, and I look forward to attending some by your side. What are you waiting for? As much as I love my foster home, I am excited to start my happily ever after with a forever family of my own. So please hurry up and fill out an adoption application soon - I cannot wait to meet you!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
