My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To adopt please fill out an adoption application.

Friendly, happy, well-socialized, never meets a stranger!  Woody is a 5mo male shepherd mix who was left in a box on the front porch of our foster mom in Memphis. Woody lives in the house with his foster family where he's lovingly cared for while awaiting his forever home. Happy, playful, outgoing puppy! Full of fun and life, very confident and friendly. Good with cats and other dogs and living comfortably with several other dogs in his foster home. Good with kids and recommended for children 6 years and older. Housebroken and crate trained. Good on the leash and rides great in the car. Estimated DOB is 11-1-23. Weighs about 35 pounds, healthy, altered and utd on shots.

To adopt please fill out an adoption application.

All our Good Dogs are in southern foster homes.

More about this rescue

Good Dog Rescue is an all-breed rescue group headquartered in the South. Our group is comprised of volunteers all over the Southeast who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all of our Good Dogs’ temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. A dog’s health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.
