My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Valentine! This handsome guy is a roughly 7 week old Great Pyrenees/Pitbull mix. His story before us was a sad one; he was ripped away from his mom and siblings at barely 4 weeks old after being sold out of the back of someone’s car in a store parking lot. The kind person who bought him, after realizing they had been lied to about his age, reached out to find him help, and that’s how he came to us! His start may have been horrible, but he is thriving now and so happy! While we do not know exactly how big he will get, we do expect him to be larger, most likely in the 50-70lb range.

He sleeps the night through in his crate, crates well for naps during the day, and is working on his house training. He is great with all people, plays well with the other dog in his foster home, and also lives peacefully with two cats. An important note is that his foster has said he shows a want to be dominate towards other dogs, which given his breeds is understandable, but it will be important that his future family monitor this as he grows to make sure it never becomes a problem behavior for him.

He is truly a mix of both breeds in personality. He has the short energy bursts of the great pyr, but the goofy, lively nature of the pit. So lots energy, but very short periods of it before its naptime again! He has a great deal of play drive and is already an expert at the game of tug of war. He is affectionate and loves to cuddle, always giving you a wag of his adorable curly tail. He is more sensitive in nature, no doubt from the pittie side of him as the breed tends to be that way, and will be your little shadow in life, following you everywhere! He is such a goofy, happy soul and will make you smile at every turn! He will be ready to go home the week of March 13th.

He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350
