My grandparents are moving into a nursing home March 8th and need their cat, Claire, to be rehomed. Shes about 10 years old? Unfortunately Im not in a place to take her, otherwise I would. My family was going to take her to the humane society but im worried she will be put down because she is mean to strangers. I think with patience, love, and treats she can learn to love someone other than my grandma & grandpa. She will rub on your legs and show you her belly but If you were to try and pet her during then she would hit and hiss. She loves from a distance and on her own terms. She;s also a chunky lady and probably needs a diet😬 Her front claws are declawed, she uses the litter box appropriately, she has no health problems that were aware of, I think shes up to date on shots and things (will have vet info soon) She lived with another cat before but they ignored eachother. Unsure of dogs. No young children. NEEDS LOTS OF PATIENCE!
