My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On February 15th, FOWA Rescue was contacted to help with a case of extreme cat overpopulation in a house. Although the residents loved the cats, they were incapable of properly caring for them—they didn’t spay or neuter them, couldn’t provide medication when they got sick and were incapable of providing a healthy living situation for them in the house. Therefore, by the time they reached out for help, there was at least 120 cats/kittens in the house. FOWA stepped up to help, rescuing forty cats and kittens. Fortunately, these rescued cats and kittens are friendly and now thriving in foster care after being bathed and receiving necessary medical care. They will all be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested and microchipped prior to adoption.

Everly is a beautiful tortie, born in February of 2023. Did you know Everly is a girl's name of English origin meaning "wild boar in woodland clearing". Everly originated as a surname derived from the Old English roots eofor, meaning "boar," and leah, "clearing." It is related to the Germanic name Eberhard, meaning "brave as a wild boar” and yes, Everly has been a brave little gal, letting her true personality shine through after her rescue.
