My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little girl has a story! She was a community cat, just a little kitten out there alone in the world, who was trapped as part of a trap-neuter-return project. She was spayed but turned out to be so friendly we thought we'd try to get her a real home rather than put her back to roam the neighborhood. Then she exhibited some odd neurological symptoms - head tilt, some unsteadiness. At first we thought she had a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, but the symptom seemed to come and go which is inconsistent with that. We consulted with numerous vets, finally meeting with a neurologist and getting and MRI done. She has a perfectly normal brain! (Well, normal as cats get, she's a little goofy). She was diagnosed with congenital vestibular syndrome, which manifests as something akin to bouts of vertigo sometimes. The vet loved her - wanted to adopt her actually but was at her animal limit - and said otherwise she was a happy, healthy baby who should have a good life.  Buttercup is pure preciousness, a friendly, purring on contact, little lovebug who wants to play and cuddle!
