Alaska is anything but cold. Sure, she's shy at first, but who isn't?! She's a sweetie who's been more and more curious about things every day. She's seriously soooo cute with the sweetest little face and pink nose. She was a stray before she came to us, so we don't know much about her history before she got here, but we do know the more she settles in, the more affectionate she gets! With a little time and a lot of love (maybe some treats, too), Alaska is sure to be your new bestie. More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
