Foster Home Feedback

04/11/2024 Foster Feedback: Mirage has been doing fabulously on being a house dog and learning her basic commands. She now knows sit, kennel, and touch. We've also been working on loose leash walking and she has been doing well!

When Mirage is around the house, all she wants to do is cuddle with one of us or play with the resident dogs. I think she would do great on her own as well. We send the resident dogs to daycare once a week and on those days Mirage loves having all the attention on her.

03/05/2024 Foster Feedback: Mirage is a sweet dog that just wants people to snuggle up on the couch with and to play with. She is potty trained, does great in the house, is dog friendly and good with our kids. Mirage has been in our house for a couple of weeks and is really coming out of her shell. She has started wrestling with the other dogs and getting zoomies in the yard. She especially loves jumping in the snow piles!
Her favorite toys are stuffed toys. She will grab a tiny corner of the toy and carry it around the house. Lambchop has been her favorite so far!

** Mirage is Lyme and Anaplasmosis positive. These are tick-borne illnesses, and she is currently being treated with Doxycycline.

Additional adoption info

There is a pre-adoption application, reference check, and home visit required prior to adopting an animal. There is an adoption donation/fee applied to all dogs. This fee ranges from $100-150. These fees help cover the veterinary care we have provided for the animals while they wait for homes. The fee also helps pay for the food and other general care we provide for the dogs. You must be 21 yrs or older to adopt a dog and can not live in a an area where there are dog breed bans. We do adopt to homes outside on the area, but there are special requirements for out of state adopters.
