We got Savannah from the local Humane Society in May 2023.
Beautiful, timid, protective.
She is slow to warm up to new people.
She needs a gentle patient human who can take the time to develop a bond. She is NOT the type who instantly trusts and loves everyone she sees. Warms up faster indoors.
Savannah is 65 lb. I estimate 2-3 years old. I think she is at or near her full size, but she still has the puppy-clumsy-paws. When she sleeps on my bed she rolls off in the night--hilarious, but also startling.
Sadly, one of my other dogs started biting Savannah. Savannah eventually retaliated. I think Savannah would do well in home with or without other dogs, just not this one dog. I can give much more detail about this.
She has been a very rewarding addition to our family. And I wish we could keep her ourselves.
We got her to protect sheep. She barks well. But she is afraid of the sheep.
w/ cats - curious and timid, not yet aggressive.
w/ kids - gentle, tho clumsy.
