My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chico is a 13 year old Maltese boy who currently weighs around 20 pounds. A total couch potato who likes attention. He is neutered, but is not currently up to date on vaccines.
This sweet boy needs a little training to make him the perfect pup- he will bark for attention, mark and nip if scared. Nothing a little training can't fix, but he needs an adopter who has the time and is willing to work with him.

There will be no adoption fee for this boy, but adopter will be required to bring him up to date on medical and do at least three sessions with a trainer of their choice.

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
