Follow Your Nose

Dixie is a 10 month old Bassett hound mix weighing in at a short legged 56 lbs.

In true hound fashion Dixie’s nose is her super power. Catching a scent and tracking it is no problem for this girl. However, mole crickets on the other hand have a big problem, they are not safe. Dixie is a playful puppy, shoes are her favorite “toys”. This girl may be a little confused as to what actually constitutes a toy, or maybe it’s the scent of feet she likes so much.

Dixie has perfected her doggie manners, she is crate, leash and potty trained. This girl is still young and may have the occasional accident. Great with dogs and kids, she is a joy to watch! Dixie is currently working on basic commands. A securely fenced in yard is required in this girl’s new home so her nose doesn’t carry her far away.

Give Dixie some head scratches and maybe some old shoes, and you will be her BFF. This girl is on the scent of her new family, will Dixie make her way to you?

All of our animals are fully vetted which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped) prior to adoption.
