My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tino's foster has a trainer and says he is very affectionate and loving with people. He never meets a stranger. When he went to Lowe's, he never jumped up on anyone to greet them. He is getting better and better about not jumping up on trainer now.
Tino is very food motivated and sits for treats. He also sits for pets and to get access in and out of kennels etc. He loves to ride in a car and doesn't bark at dogs he sees on walks. He follows trainer everywhere so she thinks he'd be good off leash/farm/hiking etc
Tino is good in a crate and he loves toys, especially Benebones.

Tino has separation stress and he barks when he can't see trainer but is getting better with this the longer she has had him.
- He can get overstimulated by other dogs but takes corrections from them.

This boy has a chance with a qualified trainer like this and will be ready for his forever home soon!

Shelby Humane is an open intake facility in Shelby County Alabama. SH takes in over 5000 animals a year. We provide an adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter program, and low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics throughout the County. In 2018, we launched Shelby SafePet, which provides veterinary care and boarding to pets of domestic violence victims.
