8-year-old Dakota is a sweet and endearingPitbull/Vizsla mix needing a home where she can be her best and happiest self! While Dakota has been living in a loving home, her family's circumstances have changed during the 7 years since she was adopted, and they have made the difficult decision to rehome her.
Dakota is a wonderful companion to humans of all ages and dogs of all sizes. She is very sweet and submissive in nature. She would be happiest in a home with another dog or with having frequent access to other dogs for doggie visits. She is so great with all dogs, that the facility where she is boarded uses her as a greeting dog to help calm the nervous dogs! However, it should be noted that Dakota is not a friend of cats.
Dakota loves to play tug-a-war, run after balls, and go on twice-daily walks around the neighborhood. She is good on leash and l-o-v-e-s to sniff! Dakota isn't always on the go though, and naps a lot during the day. She moves from favorite spot to favorite spot - couch to a dog bed, to the back patio, back to the couch...repeat!
Dakota is house-trained and good about sitting at the door when wanting to go out. She also knows how to use a doggie door. Dakota is in good health, only taking medication for arthritis as needed.
If you are looking for a loving, fun companion for the humans and dogs in your family, please consider adopting Dakota!
