Requirements:
Secure PHYSICAL fenced yard
Thea is a former breeder dog that is so grateful to be in rescue and a home! She has been soaking up the love and attention since joining Leia's Hope! She is a sweet gal that loves to snuggle next to you in bed at night and in the recliner when watching TV.
Thea gets super excited for treats and probably never knew of such a pleasure before rescue. She is an easy going gal and gets along great with other dogs, but we believe she would be ok being the only pet. Thea is beginning to play with toys and this is always so fun to watch a former mill dog do normal dog things!
Thea is not leash trained and will need a secure physical fenced yard.
Thea's adoption is $375. She is spayed, received a dental, current on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for next steps!
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

We are a licensed foster based rescue. We rescue mostly seniors and special need dogs as these are normally the first to be euthanized in shelters.
Our Mission:
To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted dogs and find the best home for each dog in our care. Our belief is all healthy and treatable dogs, regardless of breed or age, have the right to life, happiness, and love.
