**Delilah is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**
Age: 1 year Weight: 33 kg
A bit about me: - teens and adults only - unknown history with cats - slow intros recommended (has demonstrated prey drive on walks) - dogs okay pending successful introduction
Delilah and her herd of nine puppies arrived at our shelter in February searching for a new home. Miss Delilah was massively outnumbered by her pups, but she still did a great job taking care of them. Once her puppies got adopted, it was Delilah's turn. This lovely girl is food and affection motivated and always up for some snuggles from her favourite humans. Her history is unknown, but she seems to be cautious of new people, especially men. When she does trust you, she can sometimes get a bit too excited to see you, so her new family may need to help her work on manners. Delilah loves exploring on walks but is also happy to curl up with a good chew toy! Delilah is looking for a home that can provide her with lots of fun enrichment and keep her brain active. As long as she has something to do, Delilah can settle well and has been a fun office dog for some of our shelter team. Life in the kennel is stressful for her, so Delilah is hoping you will come and take her home soon!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
