Meet Misty! Misty is a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Greyhound mix, with the sweetest personality! Misty is 10 months old and 43 lbs. Misty was found as a stray in Houston TX, and was so happy to be rescued that she made best friends with everyone in the shelter. Misty is now enjoying life in her foster home while she awaits her transport to Colorado to find her forever home.

Notes from Misty's foster mom:

"Misty is such a good girl. She stays in crate when I leave the house, and at night. For some reason loves to sit in the raised beds out in the yard!
She’s fully housebroken — not a single mess in the house.

She is such a sweetie. Her tail literally wags non stop. Not sure i’ve ever seen one wag as much as hers! It’s gotta get tired at some point.

She wants to play and follow you around, easily runs back and forth between us at full pace in the yard… she needs lots of room to stretch those long strong legs of hers.

She does like to put her feet up on you when she’s excited. She’s good about listening to “no” and “down”, and seems eager to learn more and is very smart.

She loves to lay upside down for belly rubs… very trusting in that sense. Really gorgeous copper color. Would love to see her find a family that likes to hike, etc.”

Most rescue dogs that come to our rescue, we don't know much of their background. Typically they have not had much (if any) prior training.
Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area.

Misty has been fully check by a vet, heartworm tested (negative), and is up to date on her vaccines. She is also spayed.

Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.

Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet dog! An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com.
