My name is Tequila (Foster Home)!

Tequila is a 2-3 year old tri-color pitbull. She came to PAWS in terrible condition. She was abandoned with a severe skin infection, caused by food allergies, and had lost 95% of her fur. She was also emaciated, weighing only 45 lbs and very shut down.

She went directly into foster care and after a couple of months in a home environment she started to blossom. She has bonded with her foster mom and another dog in the house but is still a bit shy around new people and dogs. She is interested in meeting other people and dogs but is cautious and likes to approach first.

She would do well in a quiet house with people that have experience with a dog that needs to learn to trust. No kids and no cats. She will need a couple of months to acclimate and bond and get comfortable.

She enjoys walks obedience training and learning new tricks/commands and would benefit from an active house. She travels great in a car and walks very nicely on a leash.
