Monty is a handsome big boy who was rescued from the streets of Astoria after being abandoned. He loves food, head scratches, and his “pouf” bed. He has the cutest little interrupted meow, which he uses to greet you when he missed you or when he’s ready for meal time. Monty likes to use his (very large) paws while eating to bring his food closer to him, as well as to reach out to say hello. His foster mom finds this extremely cute, and we agree!
Monty will rub against your legs and ask for attention, but doesn’t like belly rubs or being picked up, and will make his boundaries clear. He will let you know when he’s ready for playtime by sneak attacking your feet, but does very well when redirected to a toy. He would do best as a solo cat but likely do well in a home with older children. Monty is FIV+ but can live a long and happy life.

All cats and kittens are rescued from the streets, abandoned, or pulled from at-risk list at city shelter. All are vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV, dewormed, and spayed/neutered (if old enough). If the kitten is not old enough to be spayed/neutered we will do so at a later date, post-adoption. All adoptions require an application and donation.
