This supports all rescue dogs for vetting, foods and whatever they need.
We are all volunteers.
THEY were born July 2023 and are Shihtzu puppies weighing about 10 lbs and growing. They are expected to be bigger, maybe up to 16 lbs. They were from a breeder who asked us to assist as she is going out of business. They are learning life in the world outside of a crate and are doing very well!. In all they are very playful, fun loving little boys doing well going outside and pottying. Ace was shy and now is beginning to be social. Asher is showing to be the most social and Apollo is doing just great with the dogs and everything too. They are learning about toys, dog beds, grass and that people pet them. They are not yet jump because they never had that opportunity, so sad is life living in crates. It is so exciting adopting one of these dogs. participating and teaching them. Each day is a new different day.
They will arrive in Rhode Island beginning March 15 neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. So get your application in now so you don't miss out. We have begun teaching bathroom skills using pee pads and outside as well. Once chosen on paper, we will ask a $100, deposit to hold your spot refundable if you meet the pup and then are not interested. You may specify your choice or number your choices in order in case your choice was chosen.
OUR PROCEDURE: We will choose the dog's possible family as soon as we see a match. We will phone you and further discuss . The dog will be in Rhode Island for a meet and greet. Please realize, it is our goal to get the dogs into the right homes as soon as possible and no shows are not good for the dogs and other serious dog families.
If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue. The more you tell us the better picture we have of the home you can provide for our rescue
Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. If you have already applied in the past, then please send us a message with your name and what dog you are now interested in being considered for and we will pull off the server. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. If you don't see any information you need to know, we probably don't have an answer....like cats...idk...
