Murray came to us after one of our friends alerted us that a cat her cousin was feeding, that had gone missing during the cold snap and snowstorm back in January, had returned, but was in trouble!
He had suffered a giant gash on his side and it looked as if he had been suffering from it for a while. He definitely had escaped certain death and now needed help! And a neuter as well!
Originally dubbed Maxine by his feeder, Maxine was found to be a very robust intact male and definitely a former house cat who had found himself struggling to survive on the streets.
Murray underwent surgery to fix up his wounds and got neutered! He arrived to continue healing at our home base (our founder's home in NW Philly) and arrived coated in loose stool from the stress of his car trip.
He tolerated a shower to clean him off and make sure his freshly stitched wound was cleaned up. He had a really rough first night indeed!
Murray soon learned he was safe and soon began to feel better. A few weeks later his wound healed and he was showing us how incredibly sweet and grateful he was.
Murray loves head scratches, gets along well with other cats and has even been found lounging on the bed with one of our founder's dogs!
This sweet cheeked guy deserves only the best from now on and will be a purrfect companion for an equally deserving human! Are you that human?

We currently rely on our amazing web of generous fosters throughout the Philadelphia area and will do our best to make a meeting as convenient as possible for both human + animal.
Meetings will need to be coordinated through the foster of the animal you are interested in meeting.
