My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota is a 4-year-old basset hound, beagle, and lab mix we've had since she was 8 weeks old. She is super sweet, loves to cuddle on the couch, chew hard toys, & run after a ball. Having a toddler around has made it a lot harder for us to be able to give her as much time & attention as she deserves/needs. We are facing other major hardships which brought us to this incredibly difficult decision.

She survived a terrible attack from a German shepherd on 9/2023 and has 2 remaining scars. She could use more training around her food drive, counter surfing, & behavior around guests. She is crated at night & when we are away.

She does play with other dogs after proper introduction but sometimes wants to play more than the other dogs do. She is not afraid of big dogs even after that incident but isn't regularly with others. She is a bit skittish, scared of strangers, thunderstorms, fireworks, and loud noises in general & looks for a dark place to hide or for snuggles.
