Ash (the father) and Pongo (the son) are a duo that are not necessarily a bonded pair (meaning they don't have to stay together, nor does it benefit them to do so). But they do need a foster immediately. Through no fault of their own, they are being crated for too many hours a day. Pongo is very active with that fun, puppy energy (he's two years old but really still just a baby). But his dad, Ash his more apprehensive about the world and has more of a caution approach. Ash is four years old. Both Ash and Pongo have lived with other dogs and children but have no cat experience.
