My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Billie the Kid! She's a 25lb hound mix who we swear looks like Santa's little helper from South Park. She's chill but mischievous. Playful and would probably do fine with or without dog siblings

The Clay County Outlaws were rescued from the same neglect situation Mama Rose and her flower puppies were saved from. We found out about these sweet babies a few weeks later and went right out to rescue them too - along with Rowen, a probable dad to many of the puppies. They were given the theme of Outlaws because their treatment before was criminal! Once in care, these puppies have blossomed into the most loving and happy hounds you'll ever meet!

They are hard to get photos of because they are constantly wagging their tails and maneuvering for love or playtime.

These puppies know how rough life can be and are dedicated to living their best lives ever now!

Adopt an outlaw and get a criminal amount of love and affection for the rest of their lives

Additional information:

  • We are not a shelter.
  • All of our dogs are at private fosters.
  • We only set up meets with approved adopters.
  • If you want to meet our adoptable dogs, many pups will be at Brewhound for Fur Sisters Friday most Fridays from 6-8 pm.
  • Adopters are chosen based on the best fit for each dog, it is not first come, first served.
  • We do not 'hold' dogs.
  • Please note: we have many dogs who are not yet listed as available due to the availability of volunteer time to post or because they are puppies. If you are looking for a dog, we recommend filling out an application and indicating what you are looking for in a dog. Our volunteers work hard to match approved applicants with the best dogs for their lifestyle

Approved applicants do a "sleepover" with the dog before finalizing adoption. This is up to a week or so.

Additional adoption info

Local adoptions only! (Northeast Florida)

If you are considering adoption but are not 100% sure about the lifetime commitment, please consider fostering!
Fostering allows us to pull dogs from shelters, is at no cost to you, and you get to help save lives. If you decide the furbaby is a good fit for you and your family, you can move forward with the adoption process.
