Hi, I’m Laurel — a gorgeous gray and white girl just under two years old. 🤍
I’m a playful, very talkative kitty who loves to rub in and out between your legs, making sure you know just how loved you are. I really enjoy back rubs, being talked to, and keeping my people company.
I am also an independent girl and do appreciate my space, so I’d do best with an experienced cat owner who knows how to read my cues and understands when I’ve had enough attention. I love to sleep at the foot of your bed or curl up in a chair near you — always close. My foster family laughs because sometimes I’ll walk right into the shower with them… I don’t mind getting wet at all (they actually think I like it!). I also love sitting on a stool, chair, or even the kitchen counter just to be near my foster family — especially when they’re washing dishes. I am a bit chatty when they talk to me!
One of my favorite things? The sink! I love drinking from the faucet and sitting in the sink while you get ready for work. Visitors to my foster home have lovingly nicknamed me “the sink cat.” 😺💧
I had a rough start to life and was hurt by some children before coming into rescue, which is why I can be a little nervous around kids at first. I’ve been living with dogs, older children, and cats, but I’d likely do best with other non-dominant kitty or a cat-friendly dog. Lately, I’ve even started enjoying playtime with the foster puppy! We play hide and seek with each other and groom one another.
I’m hoping for a patient, understanding family who can give me the time and space I need to feel safe and comfortable. I am a very loving girl — I just need a little time to warm up, and once I do, you’ll see just how special I am. 💕
