My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caroline was born 9/19/23 thought she could possibly get up to 20lbs Schnauzer mix. She’s dog, cat and kid friendly. She’ll need work on house and crate training. She spends her time day free roaming in bedroom and the house when foster is not home. She is used to her fosters secure fenced in yard and needs leash training. She’s a typical happy, playful puppy who has typical terrier energy. She is a chewer as many puppies are so her people will need to watch what you leave laying around.

Caroline MUST have a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, a secure fenced in yard and/or be taken for long walks every day, along with who are on board to show leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Caroline is vaccinated. Her spay with microchip will be due around 3/19/24. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

How can I Adopt a Tiny Dog?
When you are ready to adopt a new friend, we will ask you to complete our friendly screening process, which ensures a successful and safe adoption.

Complete an Adoption Application
We will have a brief conversation with you to find out about your daily schedule, determine your preferences and needs, and talk about your previous experience with pets.
We will check two personal references who know how you are with animals.
If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do a home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family including all animals in your home, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee and take the new dog into your home.

This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home.
