We would like to introduce Huckleberry to you all !
He is a 6 month Golden/Husky mix. He will be a big boy maybe 80lbs. He needs to be rehomed to a family that is home with him most of the time. He is not liking the crate as much as thought .This is what his owner has to say about this guy~
He has been an incredibly smart puppy. He is potty trained, uses a dog door. Loose leash walking, basic commands, high play drive and treat motivated. He gets along with my other four dogs really well and with all other dogs he’s met. Crate trained at night and is up to about 4 hours a day in the crate. Not sure about cats. He’s been fine with kids this far as well. He’s for the most part pretty chill and laid back. He sleeps through the night. He LOVES people. It breaks my heart to rehome him but I think he’s dealing with some separation anxiety. I work 10-12 hours a day and my husbands hours recently changed and works 8-10 hours a day. He’s totally fine when we are home but if we are gone or if we are in a room where he doesn’t have access to us he has a very difficult time and has been chewing on the walls and base boards out of stress I think. It’s been about a month and we have tried bitter spray on the walls and crating him longer and exercising him more. But it comes down to it’s not fair to him to be crated for 8 hours of the day stressed and anxious till we get home. Before he was able to freely be in the house and could use the dog door to go outside. We are able to give him an hour of good hard play at night but I don’t think that that’s even enough. It would be good for him to be in another home with someone that’s home more and maybe has another high play drive dog. I want him to go to a really good home. He’s a really good dog! He’s a beautiful dog.
