My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peter - an old soul full of sweetness

Peter is a "Magic Bunny" and though he lived his entire life in tiny boxes, only taken out to perform in magic shows, he hasn’t lost his zest for life. All of the “Magic Buns” have shown that they are happier when they can see other bunnies - At first, when they weren’t eating, we had their foster homes put them closer to their resident bunnies - and overnight these social creatures turned corners. Peter does great in speed dates and has proved that he would love a little buddy!

Peter is as sweet as can be - he melts into pets, calmly allows us to hold him, and loves when we say hello at his level on the bottom condo. Unfortunately for Peter, it looks like he was bitten long ago in the nose. So - along with being a black coated bun (they are statistically less likely to be adopted) he also has a unique looking face. If you’re an adopter who won’t judge a book by its cover - Peter is your boy! He is ready to finally be a house bunny - will you give him the chance?

• providing foster care for discarded domestic rabbits and arranging for adoption to permanent indoor homes;

• assisting humane societies and shelters with rabbits;

• providing spay/neuter surgery and veterinary care through arrangements with area practitioners;

• rehabilitating and socializing mistreated or neglected animals;

• permanently caring for animals who cannot be placed in adoptive homes due to serious health or behavioral problems; and

• educating the public on responsible pet ownership and humane practices.
