My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cupid is an adorable 1-1/2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier/Fox Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 29, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Buchanan Road in the Waterford Ohio area on February 27th. We were excited to learn that a microchip was detected when he was scanned, but our excitement was short-lived when the phone number associated with the microchip was no longer in service.

This little playboy has a white-and-black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute tricolor face with hopeful trusting eyes, a long slender muzzle, and large floppy ears.

The family who kept Cupid for a couple of days while trying to locate his owner had been calling him "Kooper" and "Koop Koop", and he seemed to respond to those names. Cupid was good with children in the home but seemed to be selective about which dogs he accepted as friends. He tended to be protective of his food/water bowls. Cupid working on his housetraining routine.

Cupid has a playful, outgoing personality, and he LOVED being the center of attention when HSOV Kennel Tech Emily Beaver took him outdoors for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet photos on March 3, 2024.

Cupid weighs 32 lbs. He walked fairly well on a leash for Emily during his photo session.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Cupid was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly, nobody called or came looking for this little lovebug.
