My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Courtesy Post** Pluma (San Diego) 4 year, spayed female, 25 lbs Loves companionship from human-beings, loving, playful, indoor, outdoor, leash trained, enjoys car rides, loves to go for walks/runs, full of energy, great with kids and other dogs, will be the best service dog ever, extremely smart and curious. Crate trained (will get out if there are no human beings at sight) gets anxious if there are no human beings around. Additional adoption info

If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
