Greetings from Silver Satin! This handsome fellow is a 7 year old neutered male all black domestic shorthair looking for a home that has room for some cattitude. Our friend Silver Satin is very comfortable and confident in himself, which is a great thing! However, this can create quite the complex in a kitty. Silver Satin knows he is on top, and is not afraid to give a smack to those who do not move at his pace, or respect his wishes. He wants to jump on the counter? He shall be on that counter. He wants to follow you into the bathroom? Into the bathroom you both go. He wants to sniff what you're doing on your phone? Consider that phone sniffed. Silver Satin is happy in his fur, and nobody can make him do or be anything he does not wish for.
Due to this confident personality, we are not placing Silver Satin with kids. We are unsure of his history, so we can't be sure how he would do living with another cat or a dog. Have a discussion with staff about the animals you have at home and we can have a conversation about possibilities.

If you rent, please bring your lease which states the type of pet you are interested in and that it is accepted or the name and phone of your landlord so we can verify the pet is allowed. Inquire with your landlord about any size or breed restrictions.
Please check with your home owner’s insurance company or landlord to find out if they have any restrictions on the breed(s) of dog they cover. Common breeds that may not be covered include: Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers and German Shepherds.
For the health and safety of the pet you are interested in adopting and your existing pets, we ask that you provide proof of current vaccinations and spay/neuter status for pets in your home. (We may be able to call your veterinarian if you do not have a copy available.)
A new pet is a family decision and we ask that all members of your family meet the pet and agree on the suitability for your household.
If you already have a dog(s) in your home please bring the dog(s) with you to meet the dog you are considering to see if they are compatible.
