Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Poor Xena has had a really rough month. This large lady was adopted from our shelter in 2016, and then returned by her owner 8 years later because she was having urinary issues. The owner did not want to take her to the vet to try and solve the issue to keep her, and opted to return her to us instead. We found through the returned medical records and paperwork that Xena has not been given her special urinary care diet since 2022, even though her owner mentioned a history of bladder disease. Xena had x-rays done, a urinalysis and blood test performed and sent out, but nothing new was revealed. Xena will need to be on a special diet with a mix of urinary care c/d dry food, as well as any brand of urinary support wet food. Xena may have lost her family, but she will accept any love she can get! She's very vocal and adores being pet. Xena has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV which is all included in the $35 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $5.
