My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! Im Baloo (Blu for short). I got my name because I look like the bear from Jungle Book, and just like him all I need in life are the Bare Necessities (cuddles, toys, and treats). You can always find me with a ball or looking for one. I love going on walks and greeting other dogs with a nice hearty hello. I have become pretty good friends with the other dog in my home and we enjoy ending our days lounging together in the living room, just make sure I have my ball. Oh! And Im a great tv watcher, I rarely comment but Im always engaged. People say their favorite things about me are my affection, chill personality, and listening skills. My foster people told me to tell you Im crate and potty trained. Cant wait to meet you!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Applications are reviewed by volunteers who also do background and reference checks. NOTE: We only accept local applications.

2.

Interview

After applicants pass the application review and checks, we set up a phone screening to go over any questions and to request a home video.

3.

Approve Application

Approved applicants do a "sleepover" with the dog before finalizing adoption. This is up to a week or so.

Additional adoption info

Local adoptions only! (Northeast Florida)

If you are considering adoption but are not 100% sure about the lifetime commitment, please consider fostering!
Fostering allows us to pull dogs from shelters, is at no cost to you, and you get to help save lives. If you decide the furbaby is a good fit for you and your family, you can move forward with the adoption process.

Go meet their pets

We are at Brewhound Dog Park in Neptune Beach every Friday 6-8pm. We do not have a facility to visit, as all our pups are in foster homes. Follow us on social media to see other upcoming events and opportunities to meet adoptable dogs!
