My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby and Toby. 9 yr old sibling teacup yorkies. They are a bonded pair. Even though they don’t always act it, they do love each other. Toby “Tobes” likes to always run to his sisters kennel first. While she patiently sits there and waits for him to go to his own kennel. He just wants the moment to prance from her kennel to his own. Which, is stocked full of all the toys. He’s a hoarder. He loves his stuffed zebra and squirrel. He carries them around, and very careful to only put them down in his kennel. So basically, a neat and tidy little hoarder. That’s his safe place. He doesn’t stray far from his toys and kennel.

Shelby, she doesn’t go near her kennel till bedtime. If her human could crawl in there with her, she’d be ecstatic. She’s like a tiny little bird. Weighing in at 4.6 pounds. She likes to relax on your shoulder. Let her kiss you, and she won’t stop with affection. She’s a designer purse puppy. Little miss Thang loves to be carried. Why walk when a human can do it for you? Bestest little lovable girl ever. She doesn’t care about toys, she loves humans and being spoiled. And loves to be dressed up. Kids? Bring them on. Little girls? Just carry and baby her and she’s happy. Toby, throw a toy and he’ll snatch and retreat to his kennel, where his toys are safe. And he’s a Brut at 6.4 pounds.

They both have come along way. As a cruelty case, they knew nothing of outside their kennel. So housebreaking had been tricky. But they as prevailing and learning of outside, and puppy pads. They don’t like doggy diapers, so they have been thriving to learn potty time outside. No more accidents in the kennel. And they love treats for a job well done outside. Unfortunately, they still need some work with walking on a leash. They freeze up and won’t move with a leash attached. They stay close by, but SQUIRRELS! And they dart off. A fenced in yard, or large kennel for their business would be ideal.

If interested in meeting this two, please submit an application. Please note: ALL current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason.

Additional adoption info

We work hard to ensure the adoption process is as successful as possible, both for you and the animal you're considering adopting. We will work with you find the very best pet for you and your family. You can begin the process by looking at our available animals. We will try and give you as much basic information as possible. The next step is to complete an adoption application using our online form. This will allow us to determine if you and the animal you've chosen might be a good fit. We will contact you with any questions we might have, answer any questions or concerns, and schedule a time for you to meet the animal you're interested in.
Our adoption fees depend on a number of factors but typically range from $45 to $75 for cats and $125 to $300 for dogs. While adoption fees don’t come close to covering all the costs of caring for the animals we bring into rescue, it does make it easier for us to continue saving others. And really, it's impossible to put a price on the love and companionship a pet can bring to our lives.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our adoptable animals are in foster homes. For this reason, we require that all potential adopters complete an adoption application prior to meeting an animal. We want to find the very best fit, both for the animal and for the adopter!

More about this rescue
