My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mesa (pronounced Misa)!

Mesa is a long-haired kitty who is about 9 years old. She came to us as an owner surrender after her owner could no longer keep her due to moving. She’s a wonderful kitty who is likely part Maine Coon. She’s a big girl who has lots of hair and very high grooming needs.  She’s an independent girl who wants attention when she wants it. She likes her space but loves people too. She enjoys chin rubs and gives head bumps on her terms. She would be great for someone looking for a companion but likely not a lap cat. She doesn’t enjoy it when you push her boundaries and will enforce them either with a bite or scratches. She loves her treats. She is neutral towards her kitty roommates and is content to do her own thing but isn’t aggressive. She did great with two small dogs in her previous home and played with them. She would be a great fit if you like cats who know what they want and let you know when they want attention. Mesa is ready to find a new home. Stop in today and meet her!
