Mabel was found as a stray by a kind woman who took her to the Vet and tried to find her prior family. After a lot of looking there was no success and they asked Rescue to help her find a home. She looks to be a purebred Bassett Hound, although we have no proof. Bassett Hounds do well in family environments thanks to their sweet nature and ability to get along so well with children. Basset Hounds are very social and so enjoy the company of their owners for most of the day. They best suit a family home where there is always someone around and lots of opportunities to be with people. They are described as lower energy. Mabel is crate trained and pretty well house trained. She gets along well with the other dog in the foster home. She walks well on the leash and likes to ride in the car.
Mabel's adoption fee is $450 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.
