After a long walk around the neighborhood, Bonnie likes to kick her feet back and enjoy some down time in the hammock. No seriously…scroll through her pics to see her doing just that!
We love Bonnie because she is so balanced. She LOVES sniffing out new adventures, going on a long walks, but then also loves napping at her people’s feet, laying in the grass, or quietly playing with a toy. She’s a great mix of active & chill.
Bonnie is living with another dog at the shelter currently, so she is compatible to live with other pups. She loves doggy interactions and meeting new dog friends here at AAC. To ensure compatibility with your resident dog, we will host a doggy meet up at the shelter!
Kick back and enjoy some downtime with Bonnie. She’s sweet as can be and can’t wait to meet her people!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
