My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a 2-year-old poodle mix who was surrendered by his previous owner. Despite this change, Milo has maintained his friendly and outgoing nature. He has a high energy level and loves to explore and play.

Ideal Home:
Milo would thrive in an active household where he can receive plenty of exercise and attention. A family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, or playing fetch in the yard would be perfect for Milo. He would also benefit from regular mental stimulation to keep his bright mind engaged.

Milo's new home should be prepared to provide him with structure and positive reinforcement training to channel his energy into appropriate behaviors. He would do well with experienced owners who understand the needs of energetic breeds and are committed to continuing his training and socialization.

Milo is friendly and sociable, making him potentially suitable for a home with other pets, especially if they match his energy level and temperament. However, proper introductions and supervision are essential.

As for children, Milo's high energy might be better suited for older kids who can engage with him in active play and understand how to interact with him respectfully.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.
