My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amy is a wonderful and energetic companion! Border Collie Lab mixes often inherit the intelligence and agility of both breeds, making them great for activities and play. It's fantastic that she's sweet, loving, and housebroken – those are excellent qualities in a pet. Interactive toys, games, and outdoor activities can be great ways to keep her engaged and happy. Her love for cuddling is heartwarming, and it's a great opportunity to build a strong bond. Regular cuddle sessions can contribute to a positive and trusting relationship between you and Amy. She is a lovely and well-rounded 3 yr old doggo!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application. All information provided is then throughly checked and verified prior to any potential adopter being considered for any of our pets. Part of the process also includes a home visit prior to releasing the pet and a subsequent follow-up visit once the pet is in his/her new home. There is an adoption fee on all of our dogs and cats and the Adoption Fee amount is dependent on the costs (Veterinary & other) associated with that individual pet . Therefore anyone interested in adopting a pet should contact the person whose name appears in the notes for that particular pet to obtain the proper adoption fee amount.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a central shelter to house our rescued animals. We rely on the space within our homes, foster homes and boarding facilities for which we pay fees. Therefore our resources are very limited as to the number we can intake. Anyone interesteing in meeting one of our pets should call the phone number or forward an email to the address that is listed in the "NOTES" associated with that particular pet. A time, date and location appointment will then be established for meeting and interacting with the pet that you are considering to adopt.

More about this rescue

Kismet Pet Adoptions (KISMET), a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1985 by Gloria Trelles Ripple, is dedicated to the welfare and placement of COMPANION ANIMALS. Each rescued animal by Kismet's dedicated volunteeers receives a veterinary exam, all vaccines, de-worming, de-fleaing and spay/neuter. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are "FeLV/FIV tested. Many have required medical attention and have not been denied, such as heartworm treatments, surgeries and long term care. We operate out of the pockets of our members so our funds are limited. KISMET'S policy is that no animal should ever be killed for want of a good home. Based on this policy, many have found comfort in a forever home with a family to call their own.
