My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm.

No time to come to the shelter? Meet me virtually during our open hours, note that wait time may vary for virtual meet and greets and we require same day pick up if you decide to adopt: https://waitwhile.com/locations/humanerescuealliance/r/welcome

Hello, Spark here, waiting to sparkle up your life. At three years old, I am at the height of my sparkliness, no small flame anymore, but I definitely have a good amount of fire left -- just the right amount! I came to the shelter because my previous owner could no longer take care of me. I am an all-around well-adjusted dog who LOVES people and tells them so by approaching humans with a wiggly body and a wagging tail. I also like to sniff a lot -- which means that self-entertainment is going to be no issue. I will always be interested in exploring my surroundings. While I love love love people, small animals can get me a bit too excited, so I need to move into a house without cats or other small pets.

And turns out I'm also a Volunteer Favorite! Here's what they have to say about me: "Spark is such a loving boy! He is pretty shy, but when we had more time together, he would give me kisses on a cheek like a gentleman and cuddles in his kennel. Just a sweet boy through and through! He never had any kind of behavioral issues with him at all and he's just so easy to walk and put back in the kennel." Yup, that sounds just like me. If you are ready to add some spark to your life, your search could end right here!
