If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We purchased Teddy from a Pet Shop when he was 11 months old. He is now 5 (12/26/18). He is a purebred long-haired labrador retriever. He is such a great protective dog, he will always alert you when he hears or see something outside the home. Teddy is very friendly and loves affection. He is an only dog so he does bark at other dogs but had never been aggressive towards pets or people. He loves to eat people food which we do not allow him to eat but he is mischievous and will try to eat your food if you are not watching him. He loves to cuddle and be loved on.
Our issue is our new home does not have a fence and space for him to roam and play and we don’t have the time to give him to do so. We also don’t permit him to come upstairs so he is limited to where he can go. Although we love him and care for him, it is not in his best interest to live like this. He has high energy which he doesn’t get to burn and it’s s not fair to him.
