My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reba, a remarkable canine with an extraordinary spirit and a heart full of love. Found abandoned in front of a school, Reba's journey has been challenging due to her hind-end paralysis. Despite her physical limitations, this incredible dog has a personality that shines brighter than the sun.

Reba's resilience is evident as she faces the world with unwavering determination. Although she can't use her hind legs, she has perfected the art of bouncing around and will eagerly attempt to hop onto anyone nearby. Her enthusiasm for life is infectious, and she radiates joy, proving that a disability doesn't define her happiness.

This little star is not deterred by her past hardships, showcasing an indomitable spirit. Reba's affectionate nature knows no bounds – she adores people and gets along famously with other dogs. An expert cuddler, she craves human attention and seeks to be the center of affection. Her charismatic personality will undoubtedly capture the hearts of those lucky enough to meet her.

Reba does have some unique needs due to her paralysis, requiring assistance with bladder and bowel care. Our dedicated staff is more than willing to guide and teach potential adopters these essential skills. Her ideal home would be with someone experienced in caring for special needs dogs and committed to meeting her ongoing veterinary requirements.

Despite her physical disabilities, she faces each day with optimism and a wagging tail. If you're ready to welcome a spirited companion into your life and can provide the attention and care that Reba thrives on, she could be the perfect addition to your family.

Reba's story is one of strength, joy, and the unwavering capacity for love. Are you the special person ready to open your heart and home to this resilient and charming soul? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
