Meet Mallie! Born October 25th 2023, she is a female Australian Shepherd mix who is described as a bit shy, playful and affectionate. She is working on her potty training, knows basic commands and rides well in a car. Her ideal forever home would be one with breed experience as she is from a working breed line. She will thrive in an active home that will continue her training. She will do best in a home with another active canine companion of similar energy level. Mallie will require a home with a secure fenced yard, she’s a climber and so at least a 6 foot fence is required. If there are children in the home, over the age of 8 is preferred. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
