My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Elk River, MN

While indoors, Meredith has a very calm demeanor. She loves to relax on the couch most of the day but also enjoys a periodic look out the window since she absolutely loves the outdoors. Regardless of noise or activity around her, she never barks, but rather just observes her surroundings. She remains cautious with people, and although she accepts affection, she does not look for it. She is perfectly fine around dogs of all sizes and simply ignores her feline friends. While outdoors, Meredith's energetic side comes out much more and if other dogs are around as she seeks to play with them. She walks wonderfully on a leash-no pulling and constantly looks up at you watching for approval in between her potty breaks. She loves the outdoors so much that if she does slip out the front door or gets off her leash, she is very challenging to lure back into the house, so a fenced yard combined with a long cable is needed for her until she learns to come in the house on her own. She has not learned to play with toys or chew bones yet, but she loves her feeding times. She sleeps great in her kennel all night and just patiently waits for the morning routine. If you want a sweet and quiet girl, she will do great in a home with someone dedicated and patient as she learns to trust humans and realizes how wonderful dog life can really be.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are a best guess.
