My name is Nellie!

Nellie is a spayed female chihuahua, estimated  to be around 7 years old.  Nellie is looking for a chihuahua savvy owner who understands that she needs a little time to warm up to strangers. Nellie prefers her space, so she is not a match for a home with children, but once you have taken the time to let her settle in at her own pace she makes a terrific companion! Nellie will need a home with a securely fenced in yard, she has happily cohabitated with other dogs in her foster home but has not yet met cats. Nellie came to rescue as a part of a group of dogs that appear to have been mostly left outside by their previous owner.  She has moved into a foster home where we have worked with her on potty training, meeting new people and learning to enjoy being a pampered pooch!

Nellie's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventatives.  Nellie is seeking an indoor only home with a secure fence.  If you would like to meet her, please submit an adoption application for consideration at Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters with current/former pets have a history of having had them altered, kept current on vaccines and preventatives and kept as indoor pets only.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
