Booker is a 2 ½ year old male American Staffordshire terrier mix. Booker is a fun loving cuddle bug that enjoys playing with toys, dogs, and his human friends. This ball of love knows how to sit and is very treat motivated. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, but he does not let it affect his happy go lucky personality. Booker would love a family with an active lifestyle so he can run and play all day after he is completely finished with his heartworm treatment around the end of June of 2024! HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
