Brutus, Bru, Bruster! Whatever we call him, we know this adorable pitty pup will make you smile! Bru is going to be a large dog when fully grown.

Brutus is a happy, playful puppy! He is very social and loves everyone he meets. Brutus gets along with everyone - people and dogs! He sometimes forgets he's bigger than some of his friends but he always tries to be gentle and respectful. He is submissive to other dogs too - big or small! Bru loves toys and if none of the other dogs will play, he is very happy to play with one all by himself! He is a big chewer so he needs sturdy toys to keep him busy and happy. Brutus is good with cats too - just curious and wants to play. And kids are no problem - the more the merrier for Bru! He is an affectionate boy, always wanting to be loved on and snuggled with!

Brutus has come a long way since arriving! He is crate trained and now can walk on a leash! He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home and he loves to be outside. He has been in rain and snow and did fine. He likes to lounge in the sun and watch the birds. He is doing well with his housetraining also but please expect some adjustment time as he learns a new home and routine. And he is still just a baby so patience and love is required. He is learning basic commands such as sit and down. Bru is eager to please and is even though he is goofy, he is smart. Brutus will make a faithful companion or family dog.

Brutus is neutered, up to date with vaccines, flea/worm treated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400

We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".

Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
