My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/Application
Please do not call the shelter; do the application first.

Introducing Jade, a 16 lb Chihuahua mix, born 5/10/23. Jade was brought to the shelter (along with her mother Abby, also up for adoption) when her family could no longer care for her. She is now looking for her forever home!

Jade's ideal home would consist of a warm bed and a quiet home to help her blossom and gain confidence. While she loves people and snuggles, she is slow to warm up to strangers. A home with a yard to play in and a couch equipped with a human to snuggle would make Jade a very happy girl.

Jade loves to run circles in the yard and sniff all the things. Her favorite game to play with the other dogs is tag. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She didn't previously live with children so we would suggest she go to a family with older dog savvy children.

Jade is primarily housetrained, though she occasionally has some submissive urination, which should improve as she grows more comfortable in her new family. Her prior people report she knows how to use puppy pads, and she was used to sleeping overnight in her crate.

If you're looking for a new family member we believe Jade would fit into just about any family.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Jade is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
