This beautiful Bernese Mountain dog is Dave Franco. He is 3 years old and weighs about 85 pounds. Dave came to us after a not-so-great past, and he is still getting used to being in a home. He is great with other dogs, though! He is looking for a forever home with another confident dog who can help him gain confidence and show him how great life can be as a family member! Given his past, Dave is shy meeting new people and children. He's working on potty training and has done alright with free roam in his foster home. He loves to run around the yard at his foster home and he's very curious about the goats and chickens! He sticks to his foster canine brother when they explore the great outdoors.
In addition to another dog, Dave is looking for a patient adopter who understands that many things are new to him. He will also need a secured 6 food fence to keep him safe! Unexpected noise and touch startle him, so you will need to let him come to you. And once he is comfortable, he will! He greets his foster mom with tail wags when she arrives home! Dave has shown us that he gets very excited for food, so we think that as he comes out of his shell, this will be a great tool for his future training :) This special guy is looking for a special family to show him that it's only up from here!
