Why I need a new home

Does not get along with other pet

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fate was rescued from the streets in January, 2022. He was diagnosed with heartworm shortly after being taken in, which was successfully treated over the remainder of the year.

Fate is an extremely loving dog who loves socializing with people, snuggling, and going on walks to explore new areas. He gets along with people of all ages and genders with no known history of aggression towards humans.

I have another rescue dog that has turned out to be high needs and reactive. As the two dogs do not get along and I want both to have full and happy lives, I am looking to rehome Fate as I know he will be able to successfully adjust to a new loving family.

Fate has a history of some fights with other large dogs (including my reactive dog and a few at the dog park). This has always been initiated by the other dog in the situation and has never resulted in any major injuries. Fate cannot go to a home with small animals due to a high prey drive. (ex. cats, rabbits, reptiles, ect).
