My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Mallory is a pretty red girl, about 3 years old, who was found as a stray.  She's very quiet and still has some of the fear issues when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you she warms up to show that she is a total love bug!

She is okay with either a young puppy where she shows her playful side or an old senior that they will just coexist.   Her favorite is  as an only dog, happy to soak up all of your love and affection.  Mallory fixates on cats and won't be a good fit to live with them.

Her foster mom says Mallory has the perfect personality.  She'll do best in an adult-only home. Her trainer says she's a very smart girl who loves to please her humans.  She'll do great with continued training and consistent structure in her day to day life.

Mallory is a serial snuggler and wonders why anyway would need personal space.  She is totally content curling up next to you on the couch, or climbing into your lap.  But she's also a young girl that can play her heart out.

Mallory is going to save you lots of money because No Toys or Bones for this girl.

Does Mallory sound like the  perfect dog for you? Are you an experienced Doberman or working breed owner? Apply now at www.DUDobes.org

Additional adoption info

We require an application, references, vet check, phone interview, home visit and a follow up visit. We also require an adoption donation. Adopters need to travel with all family members to meet potential dogs. We do NOT transport dogs to adoptive families.
We DO take the dog back if the adopter becomes unable to care for the dog.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer organization working to rescue dogs from abusive or neglectful situations as well as from shelters/pounds. We also accept dogs through Owner Surrender process, as space permits, when the owner is no longer able to care for the best interest of the dog. We provide necessary veterinary care while they are waiting to find their permanent home. We find adoptive homes through an adoption process which includes vet checks and home visits. We work to educate and promote the importance of spaying/neutering animals.
